Press release: uganda, top new destination in Germany's roadshow program

In a bid to promote Uganda towards travel agents in Germany and Austria, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) newly appointed public relations and marketing firm, KPRN, participated in a roadshow organized by FTI Touristik, Germany’s fourth largest tour operator.

FTI Touristik had just recently included Uganda as a new destination in their 2016/2017 Africa winter program. The road show, which took place from August 22 to 26 was aimed at presenting the new destinations and products to more than 300 Africa specialist travel agents in four German cities (Regensburg, Mainz, Münster and Berlin) as well as in Austria (Linz) and proved to be the perfect platform to raise awareness of Uganda as an uprising destination in East Africa.

During a two hour travel market in each of the cities, KPRN informed the travel agents about Uganda’s tourism highlights and key tourism products and thus deepened their knowledge about the destination.

The travel agents showed high interest in Uganda and were happy to hear that UTB is now being professionally represented in the Germanic markets. Further activities to be implemented by KPRN, such as a German-speaking brochure and a dedicated German website were welcomed by all participants.
