Namboole Ready for Barca legends Vs Ugandan All Stars

Heavy and consistent rains that continue to wreak havoc in most parts of Kampala will not be a hindrance, even if it falls on match day when the Ugandan All Stars take on the Barcelona Legends on December 12 at Namboole.

Namboole stadium Managing Director Jamil Ssewanyana has assured of a perfect pitch come match day.

“We are ready for the game. Like we have always done for other matches, we shall ensure it is in shape; there is no preference on which match is going to take place there for us to work on it, but we already have plans to make it even better,” Ssewanyana said.

The Namboole stadium turf has of late been battered by political activities but was later worked on to host the World Cup qualifier between Uganda and Togo.

The stadium was on Sunday again busy with the corporate league activities which also must have stressed it further but fans are looking forward to a perfect ground to enjoy the tic-tac kind of football associated with Barcelona.

Ugandan fans will access the match tickets from across the over 1500 PayWay outlets at Total and Shell fuel stations, and several supermarkets across the country. Ordinary and VIP tickets going for sh30,000 and sh150,000 respectively can also be accessed at KFC outlets.

The VVIP tickets will go for 350,000 each.

The other match sponsors are Nile Breweries, Rwenzori Water, Vision Group, Uganda Tourism Board, PayWay, KFC, KCCA, UAP Insurance and Sheraton Hotel.
